Possibly acupuncture could provide some pain relief for your poor kitty. I have never tried it, but my sister in law is a holistic vet who swears by it. She gets great results with older cats and especially arthritis problems.
The type of back pain your cat is having is one of the issues that often gets positive results from acupuncture, so it may be worth a try.
I hope she is feeling better soon. I have had similar back issues myself and it just plain sucks. Sending you and Angel some positive, healing vibes!

You could ask uour vet for gabapentin. It is for nerve pain. My cat has the same problem, tried gabapentin but she got the side effekt and got mor wobbly. If u try it start with a very low dose.
