I am so very sorry.

There is no way I could go - my ex's wife has always refused to meet me (I have never understood why as they met long after we had separated) and there was terrible trouble between him and his first wife when he divorced her and she discovered he had met me and that I was already pregnant with Faith (after they had separated). That is why it will be hard for Faith to meet her. Families can be so complicated and difficult. Anyway, I have told Faith to tell Graham quietly how sad I am, that my home is open to him and the girls, and that I am making a donation in lieu of flowers to Cancer research. That is all I can do.

Faith called me last night after she got back from th e funeral. She said her brother and her father were very pleased she had gone, and that there were no problems, beyond the terrible grief at a life cut so short. She extended an invitation to come to France for hte girls, and that was accepted. The girls, 15 and 17, are bearing up as well as can be expected.
