No he doesn't have a fever. His temp was normal when they gave him to me. They also fed him and hydrated him before giving him. He looked off to me. Part of me is blaming the vet visits but I know they are just trying to help.

He just looks so weak. He reminds me of my older cat that died at 14. I don't know what to do. He is just sleeping next to me. Not eating. Not drinking. He just pees on my bed and won't get up and go to his litter box, which I trained him well enough with.

My heart is breaking. I'm powerless. I can't save him, if only I caught it sooner. I don't know why he got so bad all of a sudden.

So he's so weak to the point he can't get up to go to pee?
Do you have any report from the blood test to show us? Did the vets checked for his electrolytes? Can you see them in the blood report (Sodium, Potassium, Phosphorus, etc)?

Can you go to a different vet? A clinic? A vet University?

I'm taking him to a cat specialist. They did a total blood test but the results won't be in until later today. I don't know how long he could hold on. Everything is closed right now. This timing is horrible.

A clinic is always open, clinics (as far as I know) do 24/7.
I understand you live in the US, don't you? Over here in Italy clinics are always open, I guess it's the same in US too.
What time are you taking him to the specialist? What time is it now where you live?

Right now it is 3 Am. He sees the specialist at 6 30 or 7 am.

Keep Spade warm (not just a blanket, a bottle with hot water from the tap and wrapped into a thick sock next to him would do), give him some food and water with a syringe. Small meals every half an hour. Until you see the specialist.
I will keep my fingers crossed for him!

EDIT: Keep him warm while you're driving to the specialist too. The same warm bottle in his carrier will be fine!

Now he is breathing really fast. Should I just take him to emergency? This is crazy.

Keep a close eye on him, take note of every single thing you think is not normal, with time too, like now "3:30 am - he's eating fast" and so on.
Then, if he's acting fine for the next 3 hours, go to the specialist. If something is strange before 6:30 am go to the emergency.

EDIT: I'm sorry, I have mis-read your post...
Take him to the emergency right NOW!

I say take him to the emergency Vet. If his breathing is affected and he isn't eating or drinking and you aren't giving him food and water by syringe he will deteriorate very quickly. How long has he not had food or water for? How many hours?

I wish I didn't take him to the vet the last day. That's my biggest regret.

I'm so sorry for your loss. There is no way to prepare for losing your companion so suddenly.

I wish I didn't take him to the vet the last day. That's my biggest regret.
You left Spade at the vet Wednesday because you were trying to help him. He was away from you, but was getting the care the vet said he needed. This was based on the best information you had at the time.

He was with you his last night. You cherished him and showed him he was loved. Then, you made the ultimate sacrifice to relieve his pain.

Please consider a post in Crossing the Bridge when you are able. Tell us about Spade and how you loved him

I am so very sorry, I wish I could give you a giant hug. You were trying to save his life and he did get to spend his last hours with you. You did everything possible for him - everything. He had such a complicated case, no one could have done more.

He never really was able to meow. Yet by some miracle at the end before his breathing started, he did one loud meow at me. I always was trying to teach him how to meow and he did it.
