The specialist took a complete blood test to see if he has any infections, he said if not, it's probably FIP. He said all they could do is rule out other causes. They couldn't get any liquid to test from his abdomen because it's so miniscule. Hoping for a miracle. He is my baby.

He looks a lot better today though. He is actually eating his food and jumping around.
With such a tiny amount of fluid, there is still reason to hope. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but just treasure each moment, and be thankful that he is having good days! The candle is still lit.

It sucks because the vets want to watch him for half the day today and I'm just home without him and worrying nonstop.

They want to keep taking care of him for half the day until the blood results come back. I don't want to do it though. So much stress for him and I lose half a day with him.

I am so very sorry you and Spade are going through this! I know it is hard leaving him overnight, but he is in the best place in case he needs the transfusion, plus even though his fever is gone, better for them to keep an eye just in case. But I know you need to do what you feel in your heart. Either way, you are being a wonderful parent to him! He knows you love him, whether he is home or at the vets. :hearthrob:

We got this one Supplement Sovereign Silver Bio Active Silver Hydrosol as a home remedy. It's suppose to strengthen the immune system. My uncle uses it on his cat that has trouble breathing and it helps him out a lot. He recommended it.

Is Spade still at the vet or did you bring him home? My heart goes out to you both, such a complex medical case, too!
He is home now. They keep him from 8 am to 4 pm. He is really sleepy because I guess he doesn't sleep there. He was also in the litter box for a while. I don't like how he acts so uninterested whole there.

I am sure he is exhausted and glad to be home with you. Maybe he has nothing to poop since he probably didn't really eat while he was there. I hope that is all it is. Was he on IV fluids?

They fed him through a syringe and gave him those water bubble under the skin. He was in the litter box long because he peed for like a couple minutes. Guess he was holding it in.

Thank God, glad he peed! Yeah, the subcutaneous fluids do make them feel better and makes them pee like a fountain! Hopefully, he will have a good night's sleep and awaken with a decent appetite. That is quite a lot you both have been through. Much stress indeed. :alright:

Ya I'm a mess right now, I quit all my stuff I've been doing lately to focus on him, I barely have an appetite. Just hoping for some good news.

How is Spade today?
Not that good. I think I have to make my peace. He is just sleeping. Barely eating. Doesn't even make the effort to get to the litter box. Don't know how to do this. Still waiting on blood results but it's not looking good already. I feel like he is living for me at this point. I'm confused because I don't want to take him to the vet again but he isn't eating or drinking and my Birthday is Friday so I'm lost.

I don't know what to do. He still hasn't moved. Just sleeping. I don't know why he got worse. He was just doing better. Did the vets do something wrong? 24 hours later and he does a total 180.

Do you feel he has fever? Can you check his gums and eyes and see if you see any jaundice?
Is he hydrated? To check for this, just gently pinch and lift his skin between his blades and release it. If the skin goes down quick he is hydrated, if not he needs hydration. You know how to do, get a sack/bottle of Ringer's Lactate and a large syringe and gently and slowly give him about 50 ml of fluid per day.
With a smaller syringe, give him some high calories food like Hill's A/D or Royal Canin Recovery.
He needs to eat and stay hydrated!
