Our dear cat/old kitten is about 10 or 11 months old. Both my husband and I have noticed extra gnawing in the past week or so. Could she be teething?

No. Cats teeth at 4-6 months old. At this age the chewing would either been from another dental issue, possible nutritional problem, or boredom.

look in her mouth and see what is going on in there and see if you can see anything wrong. Cats are done teething at around 6 months old. I remember Spaz started gnawing on things(now ex-husband found her chewing on the plugged in cord on the clock radio) and I immediately check her mouth and sure enough she was teething, but she was teething age. Look in her mouth that might tell you if she has any dental issues.
