I volunteer at an animal shelter and recently they asked me to take in a 10 day old kitten to care for. This is the first time I've done this so I'm very nervous, I just want her to be happy and healthy. She's now 15 days old. I've been keeping her in my bathroom because it's the easiest room for me to heat and the rest of my apartment gets pretty cold. Because of that I can't really hear her cry so I just come in to feed her every 3 hours. (Was every 2 hours for the first 2 days.) I've never come in and had her crying for food though.
I've been doing the same thing day and night, 3 hours apart feedings. I'm starting to get pretty tired (I'm also working and going to grad school) and was wondering if it would be okay to go to 4 hour feedings at night? If there is any chance in this harming her I don't want to risk it. I was going to move her to my bedroom but I really think its too cold for her, plus I have another cat and I don't want them to get in contact.
Thank you for all your help!
