Go Cubs!

although they're already off to a slow start.
They do have the most talent in the division so I remain hopeful....

Mets fan here!!! WOOHOO!!!! I'm so happy baseball has started!!! I hate when they open out of town, though. But I did have a couple of my Mets buddies over on Monday to watch the Mets/Marlins opener.
I can't believe we got Johann Santana!

If I'm working, I always take off the day of the home opener.
It's a religious holiday.
I'll be there at Shea on Tuesday when they open against the Nats.

YAY!!! BASEBALL!!!

The Reds defeated the Diamondbacks for the second straight day to win the opening series. Rookie pitcher Johnny Cueto was simply OUTSTANDING in his major league debut. He retired the first 15 batters he faced. He went 7 innings, striking out 10 and only gave up one hit which was a home run.

Whoa. Nice. I love when rookie pitchers come out and do that.

Me, too! It's awesome to see. The Reds had another good start by a young pitcher today against the Phillies. Edinson Volquez, who was acquired this past off season in the Josh Hamilton trade with the Rangers, went 5.1 innings. He gave up one run and two walks but he also struck out eight.
