Still on this subject. I've seen cats need 35-45% protein in their food. The foods I've checked canned food ranges from 9-12% is protein measured differently in canned and dry?
There are ways to keep canned food costs manageable. Instead of buying 3 oz cans, buy a brand that is available in 5 oz or large sized cans. Friskies has a variety that is available in a 12 oz (I think) can. Wellness has a few varieties in a 12.5 oz can. Buying a case of cans is cheaper than buying individual cans. Thanks again. Now to find time to wade through the info. Think it's going to be 1/2 dry and 1/2 wet. With 2 cats eating a can a day each, the cost is up there. :-(
