The following is from petmeds]
"Glucosamine and chondroitin (chondroprotectives) are given to pets for arthritis, injuries, and dysplasia."
"Glucosamine and chondroitin (chondroprotectives) help pets with inflammation, incontinence, or that have the potential to develop stomach ulcers"
I highly believe my 16 year old short hair indoor female silver tabby cat [ on Tapazole daily for 4 years.....sits around all day... very good mood...happy..i would describe her life as being a quiet cat ] is starting to have issues with old age, bones, arthritis, perhaps hip issues..
Should i begin any of the supplements above? She seems to have a slight limp [hip?] that i dont think is from any injury.
[ as i mention in other posts, i live in a rural area with vets that are not great with cats. nearest good cat vet is 2 hours away,4 hours round trip.......she had a checkup 4 months ago...$200 in tests...came back she was healthy]
i have to rely on myself and this cat forum for my cats health for the most part.....thanks of course]
