Definitely mucus plug. The contractions are coming every two to three minutes now.

Kitten #1 is black, born at 11:53am weighs 117g

Kitten #2 has Sasha’s stripes and coloring, was born at 12:12pm and weighs 116g

It looks like she has more moving around in there but I don’t know for sure. No apparent contractions. How do you know when she is done? She had an ultrasound but not an X-ray so they weren’t able to tell how many kittens she was carrying.

Is it still only 2 kittens? Cats can actually go hours - and even days - between deliveries.

Kittens 3 & 4 have arrived! One is an orange tabby and the other is primarily black with striped feet.

Congratulations! You're now a kitty mom! Photos when you have the chance. Particularly of the black kitten with stripe feet.
I don't think I have ever seen that combination.

Thanks! They seem to be gaining weight nicely and Sasha is a very good mom - super protective. I weigh them a foot away from her and she hops out of her box and tries to take them back before the scale finalizes. And the black kitten with striped feet is actually a calico but she was so dark when wet that I couldn’t see the other colors.

Black kitten 117g at birth, 130g this morning
“Maine coon” kitten 116g at birth, 126g this morning
Orange kitten 122g at birth, 136g this morning
Calico kitten 125g at birth, 132g this morning (she was born 4-5 hours after the others so I’m not too worried about her weight. If she hasn’t gained another 10g tomorrow, I’ll check with the vet)

The calico, Lily, is quite the eater starting at 125g and is now up to 231. Ron (orange) and trixie (black) are holding their own at 219 and 218. Luna opened her eyes today and I think Ron is next.

Sasha is a wonderful mama and although she’s protective, she trusts us with her babies. They have their first vet check up on Wednesday. Fingers crossed they get a clean bill of health.

The vet called this afternoon because someone dropped off 4 orphaned kittens and two couldn’t latch onto the bottle. Since we are the only patients with a nursing mama cat, they asked if we would foster. Sasha is now feeding eight.

Oh dear! That’s too many at once. You really need to divide them into two groups and rotate them every 2 hours with mom.
