Thanks so much! Tri is only 3 1/2. Last night I noticed that now it looks like it is forming into 2 teeny bumps. I can barely see them though. I think I should observe it a just a few more days before going back to the vet. Maybe whatever it is needs to go through its cycle and will go away.Originally Posted by Sar
I had missed any updates - I was hoping that the vet would be able to tell you what it is!
How old is Tripod? My initial thought was that it could be a fatty lump - my RB cat, Disco, had a couple, but not one on her nose!
I hope that you find out what it is soon!
Yes, the Baytril is for the lumps. I don't really know why, since they haven't been identified, but if the vet says he needs it, I have to give it to him. I am kind of leery of giving antibiotics unnecessarily though. The vet even asked me if I would rather have the liquid,Originally Posted by Sar
It is possible that it could just be a spot - like the ones we get! As you say, it might just need to do it's thing and then go away!
I hope the squeezy cheese helps to get Tripod to take his pill!I know how frustrating it can be when you've not had a problem before!I'm sure the cheese will make his pill a lot more attractive to him! Is the Baytril for the lumps?
I truely hope that these lumps go away, of their own accord, soon and Tripod is back to normal again in no time! Let us know how it goes!

Well, the squeeze cheese worked, but not the way I planned.Originally Posted by Sar
It does seem odd for the vet to prescribe antibiotics when it hasn't been decided what they are for! I understand how you feel not wanting to give them unnecessarily, but it could aid with the healing.
Oh dear, it's a shame that they offered you the liquid before you knew the tablets weren't coated!Would you be able to take the remaining tablets back and get some liquid?
How are the spots today? Have they changed any, or are they still the same? How did the squeezy cheese go down?
The fatty lumps that Discohad were just between the skin layers and they didn't really do much! They would sometimes get bigger and shrink again - not greatly - but they weren't harmful to her at all! She lived for years with them!
I really hope that you find out what this is, soon, and are able to get Tripod back to full health in no time at all!
Do you have another appointment with the vet planned? Also, did you find anything about the Feliway Travel Spray?
