Hi all,
With immediate apologies for the images, I'd be really grateful if anyone had any thoughts on what these might be? I found them near my cat's bed this morning. My first thought was that they were from a mouse or something as my cat is outdoorsy and does occassionally bring back the odd shrew - but she never eats them, it's always just the animal itself there as evidence whereas there was nothing to be found this morning apart from these things and the blood.
So this led me to fear that they were out of my cat herself. They don't appear to match any Google Image searches of cat worms but do resemble a cluster of worm-like shapes. There are no changes in her appetite or behaviour, nor any signs on her body, but she has just spent a week in a cattery and I wormed her the day before, which may be useful background.
We rang the vet but they just said to keep an eye on her - I'd quite like them to have looked at these pics. But as they won't, your poor people have to! Sorry they're a bit yucky but if anyone has any ideas of what they might be and whether they are from my cat herself or something else, I'd be really grateful. I do worry a bit as she lost her sister to renal failure last year, so it just puts you on your guard, I suppose.
Thank you in advance.
Jonathan
