I have a 13yr old Calico cat whom I've had since she was a kitten.
At the end of last summer I adopted a 2 year old rescue dog. 25lbs, pug/lab mix.
They are curious about each other, but leave each other alone mostly. She has never been a sociable cat!
One strange thing I've noticed, though, is that every day when I get home from work, she has taken 2 or 3 pieces of her dry food (she has her own room far away from where the dog's food is kept, and he cannot get in there as it's gated off) and left them in his food dish.
Has anyone seen this kind of behaviour before? I can't tell if they're meant as friendly gifts, or if she's just trying to mess with him, haha.
