Ok,
Its been a long time...but I've got a strange situation. My 6 cats all eliminate in their litter boxes...except...I've noticed 2 of my cats pee in the litter box in the standing position. There are 4 litter boxes...but these are not ordinary boxes...actually storage tubs with high sides. They have used these tubs for years..each one has a ramp and ledge that lets the cat walk and step down into the box of his/her choice. All boxes are scooped daily and I used chicken feed for cat litter (Works great!,,,just as good as WBCL).
The 2 cats that pee standing up are males, neutered, and 3 & 5 years old. Could this be a domination thing...like maybe they are trying to a box? Or is it just a natural way for a cat to pee? They do not do it anywhere else except in the litter box. Any ideas?
