St. John is the foster kitten we took in last fall after he was thrown out of a car on the highway... we just couldn't give him up.
He's cute as a button, and the typical baby of the family -- adored by all, in spite of his devilish ways.
Well... one of St. John's sneakiest tricks is sidling up to one of the other cats with an expression of perfect innocence, gently wrapping an arm around the other kitty's neck and leaning in to commence a friendly ear-washing... only to suddenly turn the embrace into an all-fours attack!
So tonight, as my Clyde was sleeping on the coffee table, I saw St. John approaching and waited to watch the fireworks. St. John did the arm-wrap, the lean, the ear-lick... and then he snuggled down closer and started on Clydie's whiskers... and pretty soon, Clydie started washing St. John's tail... and by golly, there was peace in the valley. So apparently, St. John has quit his lowdown ways!
I'm so proud of our baby boy!
