Gus was running around on sunday night and got hurt. We were afraid he broke something, so we rushed him to the 24 hour vet and we had them take 2 xrays. They didn't find anything broken, but said it was swollen and probably a sprain. He's still running and jumping, but he's limping and when he jumps, he won't land on the hurt foot. How long does the limping usually last?

That would depend on the severity of the sprain. I know he is a kitten and hard to control - but try to keep him from jumping as much as possible to give the sprain a chance to heal.

thanks, he's been running up and down the stairs. It looked like it was hard for him to walk on the hardwood and tile down here, so I locked him in my room yesterday for a few hours, because I had to go out. I can still keep him there. I feel so bad because he gets lonely and sad in there by himself.
