The cat specialist that I go to once in a while shared the more recent study on Cosequin and cats. Apparently the first study was flawed, as they didn't have a control group in the mix. People started using Cosequin on their cats but also made dietary changes and other changes. So it appeared that Cosequin was helping. In the more recent test, they did no other change other than added Cosequin and the results were that Cosequin had zero effect.
So Cosequin helping cats is nothing but a wives tale. The majority of vets do not know this yet.
