Columbia is having a special parade today. Our local troop is fixing to be deployed to Iraq, so we are having a Military send-off parade today. Two of the men that are in the troop have children at the kindergarden where I work, one of the men's child is in my class. His daddy is also a LSU fan so he is very special to me.

Please keep this troop in your prayers, both of the men that I know have been there once before, and like I said they both have children. I can't even begin to imagine not being able to see your children for a whole year. It has to be so very hard, and I admire them both a lot. And yet this troop will give that up to protect each and every one of us here.

GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some posters that some local children made for the parade today. The parade was very touching. I also found out today that our troop will be riding around for 12 hours a day looking for mines, and bombs, and whatever else they look for. This makes me very sad.

I think this one says it all

I love what is written inside this one

I am so proud to be an American
