Hello all. I've used these forums for a few days now and I absolutely love them! It's nice to see so many kitty lovers. I live in a world right now that seems to be filled with nothing but people who are allergic to my little children or dog lovers.
Anyway, Shadow is my eldest. He is all grey and his hair on his chin looks like a little goatee. He is around 8 years old and a little bit overweight. He is exceptionally affectionate(24/7 on my lap just isn't enough for him). He doesn't like other cats too much but once my friend brought a dog over and he took to the dog so well that by the end of the night he was curled up asleep with the dog.
Soota is my youngest. I adopted her from the Denver Municipal Animal Shelter about 8 months ago. She is a lot smaller then Shadow and all black.
She loves to sit in my bedroom doorway and meow till I wake up, usually around 4am. Then when I finally get up she runs over to her food bowl and starts eating. I then travel back to bed and we do this whole thing over again in about an hour. She is very affectionate and very much a little princess. She refuses to drink water from her water bowl, she absolutely must have it in a fresh glass every day.
As for myself I'm 24 years old and I grew up with Siamese cats. I have never lived without a cat and they really are part of my family. I work full-time for a law firm and go to school full time as well during the Fall and Spring semesters, so I'm a busy girl. My hobbies include: reading, writing, watching movies, coffee shops, bars, clubs, dancing my little butt off, hiking, camping, long walks, and just living life.
