On one of my cats toes there is this almost nail like thing growing out of the pad. The actual nail is above it and that looks fine but below it is this nail looking thing that is growing out of the actual pad (the underneath part that has no hair) of the toe.

I can't take him to the vet right now but will be able to take him on the 23red when I get paid. He is walking fine but when I grab his paw to look at it he doesn't want me to. So maybe it is causing him pain? Do you think he could wait until the 23red?

PLEASE ADVICE! I hate when my cats are uncomfortable or in pain...

Read through the thread, you should be OK. After reading you can clip them off with a nail clippers (and confirming that with a vet) I did clip one of my Ophelia's off with no issues.

It is basically a callous. There was JUST a thread like this recently... you might want to search for it!
