...but I don't know who it is!!
Someone peed on the floor this morning, and I don't know if it was Leo or Lola. The level of litter had gotten low (I had to be away from home alllllll day yesterday, so apprently when my friend scooped booth times ysterday, he didn't put any more litter in). Normally Leo would use an empty litterbox if he had to and I've never had any problems with him inappropriately peeing in the entire time I've had him. Lola had a single bed-wetting experience once upon a time (when she was staying with a cat sitter who didn't scoop her box and I was out of town), but had no subsequent problems and at that point was cleared for FLUTD.
They're both eating well and behaving normally and when the litter box went back to normal, all activity remained contained to the litterbox. I cleaned the spot up with vingegar for now (it's hardwood floors) and covered it up with a box, although, they keep coming in to sniff it curiously. Both have clean bottoms and when I saw Leo use the box this afternoon, he didn't strain or anything. There was no blood in the urine this morning.
So, knowing that I have no idea which is teh culprit, what should I do? I don't want to unecessarily stress them out with a vet trip when only one of them peed on the floor. But, if it seems necessary, of course I'll do it. I have to admit, the litterbox was NOT in its normal state, so I'm thinking that could have had an effect on them, especially since we're still staying at someone elses' place (8 more days til we move!)...should I just watch them to see if it happens again, or should I take them both in?
Thanks for you input!!
