I thought Sissy had been scarfing her food again, for I knew it wasn't possum trouble. I feed her only in the mornings since the possum ate up all her food, since they are nocturnal.
I slept really late yesterday morning, and when I finally went outside to put a handful of dry in Sissy's dish, there was a gorgeous but very thin patched tabby sitting on the front porch looking at the dish, and Sissy was half in and half out of her igloo, complaining quite verbally about this dratted intruder who has apparently been coming by for meals on a daily basis!
This cat had a seriously ratty looking collar on, and being thin does NOT = being underfed (as evidenced by my own skinny minnie, Miss Ginger.) So she MIGHT have a home somewhere nearby.
But the way she ate, she either doesn't get fed enough or else she's got worms. She ate half Sissy's dry and a whole can of wet I gave her (ok, it was a free sample I got from PFD, so I rationalized it that way,
) then she laid herself down on my welcome mat.
Sissy is NOT a happy girl. And I DO NOT need (cannot afford to vet) SEVEN cats.
But something tells me I may have already been adopted. At least as a feeder. And I am fighting the urge to catch her, take her to the vet and throw her in my back bathroom to see if she's litter trained.
I am going around the bend. Can you see me going round?
