Wellington has not been himself for awhile, but I thought we had found the cause when his eye infection was diagnosed and cleared. This last week, though, he has been very lethargic and off his food. He has not even come up to bed with the others but stayed down on the sofa. He felt clammy to me on Tuesday morning so I took him to the vet, who found a slight fever (39.6) but nothing else, no blockages, nice pink mouth etc. So he has been on daily antibiotic injections, and had an immediate favourable reaction. By yesterday (Thursday) morning he was eating again, and seemed much more active. His fever was almost gone too. After his injection yesterday they said not to bring him till Saturday. But today he has gone right back to sleeping all morning and has eaten nothing since last night. I don't think he used the litter box in the night and he certainly hasn't this morning. He seems uncomfortable, twitching and moving in his sleep. I took his temperature which is 38.8, the same as yesterday. I have made an appointment for this afternoon, five hours away, and I am so nervous.
Biscotte keeps going and licking him and he is ignoring her. So I am giving her extra cuddles too. Could I have some vibes for my big boy?
