Had a really crumby day today and am not feeling to perky tonight
so it's total comfort food for me...
Tomato Soup and a Grilled Cheese...and a peach for dessert...

Quick and Spicy Tomato Soup

Recipe By : Giada De Laurentiis
Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time: 0:10

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
3 Tbs olive oil
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (26-ounce) jar marinara sauce (recommended:
-- San Marzano brand)
2 (14-ounce) cans chicken broth
1 (15-ounce) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 cup pastina pasta (or any small pasta)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

1. Warm the olive oil in a large soup pot over medium-high heat.

2. Add the carrots, onion, and garlic and saute until soft, about 2 minutes.

3. Add the jar of marinara sauce, chicken broth, cannellini beans, red
pepper flakes, pasta, salt and pepper.

4. Simmer for 10 minutes.

5. Ladle into bowls and serve.

It was a nice, cool, rainy evening here. So I baked a ham and scalloped potatos, with peas and baby onions. Made the house smell like comfort food!

We had a treat last night with it being bank holiday here in England, we had Cantonese/Thai it was lovely but I am suffering this morning and I wont go into detail lol

That sounds good.. I had a chicken fajita wrap with sauteed peppers, onions, Lettuce, tomato and Marble cheese...on a whole wheat tortia wrap. Homemade Salsa on the side..
Watermelon for dessert..
