I have just one cat and no other pets. My BF and I live in a 1600 sq.ft. loft apartment, and I have shared custody of my two children (7 and 11) with my ex, so they're here weekends and holidays (until I'm done with school).
Our house has 4 bedrooms, about 2000 square feet. It's me, my husband, our teenaged daughter and two cats. We had a boy and his dog but they moved out yesterday. This is just as well as the dog really wanted to make friends with the cats and they really didn't want to.
My apartment is 2 bedroom, about 950 square feet. The second bedroom is my storage/cat room where I keep the litter boxes, small appliances and things that generally would clutter up the main area.
7 cats all indoor, 3 dogs all indoor, 5 adults all indoor , 5 tarantulas all indoor lol
3,300 square feet but the don;t go in the basement so 2,200 square feet for now. Some hang out in certain rooms and others just go where they please lol.
Big house. 7 cats, hubby and I. It's complicated. LOL Not all the cats get along; three are indoor/outdoor and four are indoor only so some of the cats have the run of the whole house and some live in the cat room. We also have a catio for the indoor only cats.
l'm in a tall townhouse of 1500 sq ft, not including the basement.
The cats like that they have 3 storeys to tear up and down stairs together, or lose each other when they want to. They used to be allowed in the basement too, but it's become cluttered since l moved in, so l keep it off limits.
I live in a small tailor built in the 60s. I have nine cats and a large collie dog. We are happy.
I would love to rescue more. But I can't save them all. I do the best to feed and love the ones I have. Cats don't care how big a place is or what it looks like.
A small, two-bedroom bi-level with a half-finished basement. Six cats who pretty much do what they want, where they want, and when they want (we're out-numbered)
The cats have the run of the house, but are not allowed in the basement.
We and our 2 cats live in a 3 bedroom, 100 (nearly) year old home; about 1600 s.f. with 2 floors and a basement. The basement, however, is off limits since it's unfinished and way too many places to get in trouble. There's a walk-up attic, but this too is off limits other than the one time Cocoa *somehow* got up there. The cats are allowed everywhere else. It's plenty of space for the 2 of them to spread out and have their own space when needed. Oh and us too
I would add a third cat, I think space wise it would be fine except finances come into play, and litter box placement (we really have nowhere else good to put another one).
I live with Autumn and my SO is here most of the time but we don't actually live together since he has a home of his own a few miles away. I live in a two bedroom mobile home which has a very long hallway and Autumn loves to run back and forth, she sounds like an elephant when doing that running
I have 5 cats and 1 chihuahua, and a husband, no kids other than fur kids. I am not sure how big our house is as we rent, it has 2 stories but the basement is just used for pretty much storage and laundry.
