I can sympathize - my day started out ok but when I got to work, found out that a database for an application I manage was down. So it was call the help desk for a ticket - answer the same question - Yes, I know it is down and am working on getting it up - over and over. Get some database update requests - get the database up - forget the updates until mid-afternoon - find the database was down again - call the help desk (25 minutes on hold) - answer the same question - Yes, I know it is down and am working on getting it up - over and over. get the database up - and finally get the updates done. Time to go home. Tomorrow I get to do all of the work I was supposed to do today.
