This girl was found when she was few weeks old after her mother left her behind. I know she's just an American shorthair but people always ask if she is a Siamese.

How old is she?   Is she as dark as it appears on the pics?

She is a point, a dark point, seal or sepia.   And such "siamese-mixes" do darken up with age, most visibly the with dark point.  Being several years, they can be quite dark, although never completely black on the body.

But being dark on the body already as kitten, makes me suspect a partly another combination.

Not the usual doubled siamese-point type, one from momma, one from daddy,

but one of the usual siamese point type, and one from the less usual burmanese point-type.   One from momma, the other from daddy.

Such kittens typically have a very dark point, darken up on the body already as kittens, and they dont need to be blue eyed.   They may be bluish eyed, but often arent.

Yours kitten also carries white, that is why she has white socks.

There is a breed of  old type siamese alike, whom are constructed with such a mix - although Im not sure on its name.   Tonkinese I think.

Imagine a mitted tonkinese, ie a tonkinse with white.
