Thank you, thank you, everyone that has helped me through this journey. I wanted to post on a new thread, I hope that is ok.
Today we took poor little Smudge in because his body just couldn't keep up with his spirit. The entire vet office was crying. We purchased a paw print kit and took his little paw prints and said our good byes. I told him all about Mouse, Butch, Alexander, Belle, Mattie, Jane, and Petunia, and Malcolm, Sassy, and Deagan, our other cats who would all meet him at the bridge.
When the vet came in to give the anesthesia, it only took about 3 seconds for our poor little Smudge to go. He was so ready, and was only holding on because of his love for us and ours for him. It was such a relief to see him finally able to relax, and to know that he's able to see, and run, and be a kitten, like he hasn't been for quite a while.
We love you Smudge, and will never forget you!
