Where do you think?
What is a smart feeder? I had someone mention them to me a while ago when I said that Kabby was eating too fast. I get that it's a timed device but what exactly does it do?

I'm assuming it's for dry-food. Smart feeders for wet food would be confusing for the cat. Your cat would be left wondering why the compartment opens for her some times and not others. A smart feeder allows you to control how much kibble to dispense and on what schedule. The equivalent for wet food would be smaller, more frequent meals. In this case, if you're not home (or awake) to feed more frequently, you can use a timed feeder for wet food or several feeders set to open at different times.

For wet food, I recommend a clamshell design over the wheel. Clamshells don't enforce time limits on a portion and won't rotate uneaten portions back inside the feeder.

For fast eaters, you can also just raise their bowls, and try something like this (just google "slow feed bowl":
