ok I got to weigh a few of them but I hope I get it right because they all look alike LOL
#1 is 4.6 oz
#2 is FAT and not quiet on the 5 but a 1/8 hair off... Mom weight them LOL
#6 is 4.5
#12 is FAT 4.9
other gray no clue what # is 4.5
black with rings is 4.2
Black strip on face is 4.4
I am going to renumber them later because I was having trouble trying to write and deleiver all... I let Skittles do it all... I figured they where her babies not mine and I wanted her to bond with them... They are all nursing great and to me they have tummys I mean they are not skinny but #1 who seems long....
The others have gained a full ounce, or more. If Runt was the one who weighed in at 4.2, she has only gained 1/2 ounce. That is a concern to me.Originally Posted by momof3rugratz

Yeah, Chubby could probably be taken out for 5 minutes at a time, and that would give Runts more access.Originally Posted by momof3rugratz
Yes she was the 4.2 at birth the others have gainned over 1 oz.. They are a week old..Today Chubby was over 6oz he feel so darn heavy... I might take him out... I can not get the darn bottle to make a hole... I tried the syring and she is not having it at all...

I have had several aggressive male kittens who nurse spread eagled, as if saving the two faucets next to them! Silly babies!
For the nipple, just use a pair of sharp scissors and cut a small "X". That way the milk can come out. I had a runt in one litter that I bottle fed every morning before work, and every night before bed. The rest of the time he stayed with his Momma and siblings.
30 grams in an ounce (somestimes the figure used is 28.35, avoirdupois) and 1 cc= 1 mL.Originally Posted by junior67
here is what I found on how much they should gain
After every feed, keep a record of how much your kitten has taken. This will help you work out whether he is drinking enough throughout the day. Also, to keep track of his development, if you can, weigh him at the same time every day, using kitchen or small postage scales. A kitten that is doing well will put on between 10-20 grams a day. Keep a record of his weight so that you can identify any weight loss quickly. Your vet will also be glad that you took the time to keep these records, in case something happens down the road.
(not sure how many grams are in an oz. LOL)
this is what she should eat a day: 1 week: 32cc (not sure how many cc's in a ML)
I will look those up and get back to you.
