I have been using a nasal rinse, but honestly don't feel that much difference from it this time around. Oh well.
So my ears are feeling more plugged up, a bit harder to hear, and I'm getting a bit of chest congestion.
At the doctor's today, she took a look at my ears, and wrote me a prescription for a decongestant/expectorant, with pseudoephedrine in it, even though I told her that I hate pseudoephedrine medications because of all the side effects it has on me.Oh well, I'll give it a go. She doesn't think I need more antibiotics, so we'll see. Still have headaches, pressure in my head, and getting flushed doing not so strenuous things.
Hopefully this works out - haven't been to work all week!
If I'm still having trouble after this weekend, I might at least see if I can get in with my allergy/asthma specialist. Not quite the same, but I'd get better attention than at the campus clinic. The doctors there are hit and miss, but its paid for by my student fees already. Specialists are much more expensive, and with my insurance, I think I would have to be referred first.Originally Posted by Crazyforinfo

I know what you mean about the drugs. I feel that way about sudafed but I can handle pseudoephedrine.
I haven't been driving - got my friends to drive me to and from the clinic and store today.Originally Posted by strange_wings

Well, don't have a humidifier, but I have been keeping a tea kettle going, so that ought to help a teensy bit. Drinking lots though!Originally Posted by GailC
Are you using a humidifier in your bedroom and drinking lots and lots of water??
