My husband just found out that his sister is in the hospital and not doing too well right now.
She went to the ER (with coaxing from her friends) because she was pale, almost passed out a couple times, and was having abdominal pain. They found that she had an ectopic pregnancy and since she didn't know she was 7 weeks pregnant her fallopian tube burst causing massive internal bleeding. Obviously she had to have emergency surgery last night. She said that she lost ~7 pints of blood. (If that doesn't sound right, please take into consideration that she just had this happen last night.
)
Right now she's in the hospital with a high fever and on a morphine drip. Still, she was talking about being released tomorrow.
I think this has more to do with the fact that she doesn't have insurance than anything. I can't imagine that someone with a raging fever/infection who needs a morphine drip should be leaving the hospital anytime soon!
If you could please spare some vibes & prayers for my sister-in-law for her health & recovery from this as well as somehow being able to pay the ungodly huge bill she will get when it's all over.
