I am taking my cat in to the vet today, but I need some peace of mind...
My cat, Quinn, has kidney disease and bad teeth, probably to the point of some sort of dental disease. She is on food to help her with her kidneys and gets fluids from the vet.
Yesterday, I woke up to a very meowy kitty. She wouldn't leave me alone. I noticed she has thrown up, but she does this with the kidney food, when she needs her cerenia pill. I noticed she was kind of "licking her lips" and trying to get something from her throat later on. (She's done this when she gets a treat that sticks in her teeth). I tried giving her her pill and that was not working out, so I crushed it in her food.
She has since thrown up 4 times, bile/water every time. She seems to be acting normal and played a little bit this AM.
Does she have something stuck in her throat? She's never thrown up this much, even when I began switching her to her new food.
Is it something dental related? If so, how well do cats take being put under?
I'm freaking out a bit.
