Now that one of our cats has discovered the joys of eating cat food with real, honest-to-goodness pieces of meat that have been shredded, he refuses to eat anything else.
He mostly eats Weruva and Tiki Cat, but we work in some Fussie Cat and Earthborn Holistic into the mix when he'll let us. ;-)
However, we'd like to provide a greater variety of brands in case something suddenly becomes unavailable for whatever reason, e.g., a product recall, a company going out of business, a product line being discontinued or 'improved' to the point where it no longer meets his standards, etc.
We did consider Against the Grain and Petite Cuisine at one time, but to be honest, I can't remember why we didn't give them a try.
He did enjoy the free samples that we got from Applaws. But IIRC, those are only intended for supplemental feeding (as is Almo Nature USA), since they just contain meat and water sufficient for processing.
Have we overlooked something that comes in a shredded texture, and is low in carbs? He hasn't had any flare-ups of his FLUTD since we've been following the dietary recommendations at catinfo.org, and as Martha Stewart might say, "It's a good thing." ;-)
