mine is getting out of control tips would be helpful. 5+ cats.
no hah i meant at your houseHi @Kittylove14
Do you mean a feeding station for outdoor feral cats or are these indoor cats?
was thinking of getting that fountain still raising my fundsI have 1 cat and 2 feeding stations, so I may not be the best example, but here goes...
Station 1 is in her safe room, which has a 1 qt stainless steel bowl (with silicone on the bottom to keep it in place) of kibble and a 60oz pioneer pet stainless steel pet fountain. The kibble is Merrick kitten (though once it is empty I'm changing it to a grain free all life stages kibble, so that she gets some variety.)
Station 2 is her main feeding area in the kitchen I have a 128oz pioneer pet big fountain (It was her Winter Solstace gift, and she loves and drinks from it all the time), another 1qt steel bowl of kibble (also Merrick kitten currently) i also have a smaller steel bowl that I use for wet food (mostly Nutro kitten, but I also am experimenting with "U-stew")
Since my cat is a 5 month old kitten, I free feed the kibble as well as giving the wet food.
i basically do this too this wasn't working too well so i split it into two of these stationsI feed my cats in separate places, so don't have a feeding station. Each one has their own placement and their own bowl. I just go around at meal times and first drop the placemats where each one eats, then prepare their food and carry their bowls to their respective place mats. Now that I'm down to just two cats, it's REALLY easy, but even when I had three cats, it wasn't difficult. I just fed them in a line, one in the kitchen, one on the dining room table, and one in the living room, but it was still a straight line...I could stand at the kitchen sink and see them all.
Ms. Gracie was developing a habit of knocking her water bowl over and batting her food bowl all over the kitchen. Had my dad build this little feeding station for her. It has solved those problems and she seems to like her eating area. The wet food bowl is only there while she is actually eating. She seems to sometimes enjoy standing in that empty hole while eating her dry food. :lol3:
