Shoulda gotten that flu shot!

Lordy, we've both been sick all week...this has been a doozy.  However, DH did get his flu shot in January.  Sometimes, you get the flu anyway, but I think they are still worth getting.  (I had scheduled one at CVS, but got sick with something else that day, and had to cancel. Then, they ran out of the vaccine, and the flu supposedly was pretty much gone from our area, headed out west (you can get flu all year-round, though), so I didn't bother.

I went into work for 1/2 a day Thursday, took a sick day Friday, and think I will have to also take tomorrow off--it's that bad. I had started to feel a bit better yesterday, but then the head congestion/weakness part arrived, along with the chills. Not to mention the bathroom aspect.  Fun, fun, fun!

feeling a little better but still have a runny nose. I should have gotten the shot too come to think of it.

(Rick and I kept passing something back and forth for quite a while a couple months ago. Finally he ended up with it yet again and I refused to take it back....told him he had to give it to somebody else; I didn't want it anymore. It's gone, thank goodness.)

The flu virus this year was particularly nasty and the shot was far less effective this year than it usually is.  I had it shortly before Christmas and I had gone for years without getting the shot or the flu.  I gave up and took 20 hrs off from work and I very rarely call in sick.  Hope you feel better soon.

We both had our flu shots, but did come down with a cough and laryngitis right before our vacation in January. It wasn't the flu, but I think if we had not had the shot it could have been a lot worse.

Hope you are feeling better.  I have something that has caused a sore throat for eight days.  Now I  have the chills and fever.  I went to one of the minute clinics at CVS last week because I could not get out of work.  They did a strep test that came back negative and did nothing else for me.

Went to my doctor today and he gave me a z-pac.
