Ok, this has been a debate that I have been thinking about for some time. We have had Carl for nearly a month, and he was up to date on all shots, vaccines, etc when we got him. He was also checked out negative for Heart worm (amongst other things).
If we are going to keep him indoors 24/7 and we have no other pets (and we live in an apt, so very little "outside" comes "inside"); should we do a monthly heart worm treatment? I have heard some people say yes, and some say no. What is the TCS opinion?
On the one hand, better safe than sorry. On the other hand, I don't want to be giving him unneccessary chemicals. Any opinions?
