Our dog Zoe is only a bit bigger than our 2 cats. She's about a year old and the cats are about 9 months old. We've had Zoe about 4 months now and they get on quite well. They'll come cuddle with her when she's quiet. However she is often "in their face", running up too close and causing them to withdraw. If I stoop to pet the cats, she will run up and step on them. How do I stop this behavior?
She also tries to chase them around the house, and I think the male cat (Tig) enjoys it as Zoe will chase him out of the room and then return with Tig pursuing HER...so cute. My question is, sometimes I feel Zoe is being too aggressive and I tell her to stop. Should I? Or should I assume it is play for the cats too (even if they seem annoyed by it) and the cats will give her a swat when they want her to stop?
