OK, I know this might open a hotbed of responses, but here goes.
I used to use the Frontline for large dogs for my multiple cats by portioning out in a syringe the correct amount for cats. The active ingredients for dogs and cats were exactly the same, just the amounts differed. I checked this out on the manufactures website and got the whispered word from my vet. (As in- she said "I'm not supposed to say this but...")
But Merial no longer makes the regular Frontline - just Frontline Plus. Active ingredients for cats - Fipronil - 9.8% (s)-methoprene, 11.8%, the rest inert. For dogs - Fipronil - 9.8% (s)-methoprene - 8.8%, the rest inert. So more methoprene for the cats - not the other way around. But still, I would love to hear from anyone else who might be sharing frontline plus around.
When it was just Frontline, I was saving $120.00 a MONTH by portioning.
