Our Joey is 16 and has been treated for feline diabetes for 3 years now, successfully.  Recently we've noticed that when he sits or stands still, his right front leg is trembling at the knee.  He doesn't lick it or give signs that's it's bothering him in any way.  It's mostly bothering us, wondering what's wrong.  Does anyone have any experience with this?

It might be diabetic neuropathy, which is nerve damage caused by long term diabetes.  It might be a good idea to get his glucose levels rechecked.  Or it might be something not related to the diabetes like early stage arthritis, or a trapped nerve.  Is he overweight?  In any case, a vet visit is called for....

The vet will be able to determne what the shaky leg is. Neuropathy typically affects the hind legs, not the front legs. You may also want to post for additional advice on the FelineDiabetes.com message board.
