Hi. I have a 9 year old male white Persian (P/U'd and neutered) and I just obtained a female kitten, right now 7 weeks old tortoise shell. She's very feisty. She has two litter boxes in my room upstairs, and my persian has 2 boxes in the downstairs bedroom (three level house, technically the same distance away from each other) ... she was using her pans perfectly until yesterday, when she refuses to use her own and goes to his. I'm afraid he's going to have a fit and start pooing all over everything, (they don't exactly get along just yet, but chase each other playfully sometimes) ..
The litter is the exact same brand, a fine clay. Kitten has taken to playing in her pan and even fell asleep in it last night! What can I do to ensure she stays out of his pan, or is it alright to let it happen and see?
We have little room left in the Persian's box room, so we were trying to avoid putting her pans in there with it. Would that be the best bet?
Thanks for any help. First time with a kitten and an older cat, learning big no no's every day :T
