I recently took in a cat that was living under my house.

She is Spayed, but has her claws.

I have a Siamese, that is Spayed.
But she is about 20 Lbs of cat.

They are at eachother's throat.

I dont want my new kitty to get hurt, but i dont want my Siamese to get upset and run away.

Any ideas on how to get them to be civil?

Separate them and expose them to each other very gradually. Even just them sniffing each other under the door will enable them to get used to each others scent. I did this over a period of weeks with my last new kitty and while its ineviditable that some fur will fly at first, in my experience, the transition is a little easier and the challenging for territory and social status doesn't last quite as long.

I would also make use of some "Feliway" pheramones plug-in or spray (sends out a happy kitty smell) and put some "Rescue Remedy" in their respective water dishes or rub a few drops on the inside of their ears. Both will help keep them calmer during the transition period.
