This morning our runt kitten who came and layed by me durring the night woke me up making a strange sound, he looked weak and was having trouble breathing and didn't have a good heartbeat, I thought he was dying like I have seen other kittens do on the farm growing up, I got a little formula down, I made him comfy and layed him down by me thinking he would pass away and I fell asleep, when I woke up 2 hours later the bugger was walking around like nothing happened, looking back I wonder if he wasn't having a seizure, I thought it was strange that when I was trying to give him he formula his jaw was locked and he did flop around a little at one point, could it have been a seizure?

How old is this kitten? Can you get it to a vet?

Are you a breeder?

He really needs to see a vet. I am concerned here, and I don't think anyone can evaluate online. A 7 week old kitten shouldn't be dying suddenly. Do they have full run of the house?

I've seen you post about kittens a lot. Do you need help finding a low cost spay and neuter clinic?

I know where there is one that comes to town, hard thing is they only come here once a month and are booked months in advance, I don't drive so I can't get to another town.

I would go ahead and sign up all of your cats now for whenever they can get in. Prioritize the females. Say that you can take any cancelations too. How many cats do you have to fix?

And how is the kitten now?

Can you keep the males and females separated until they are fixed? Are they related?

I think you need to make it a priority. It's not healthy for your cats to be having litter after litter, and I am concerned that the neurological issues you could be seeing with this kitten are genetic.

Kittens should not be outside at all until they are fully vaccinated and fixed. Something to keep in mind for the future. They can pick up parasites and diseases.

I'm so sorry for your loss. :grouphug: He was adorable. Please consider starting a memorial thread for him in the Crossing the Bridge Forum.

I will now close this thread out of respect.

Rest in peace little guy. :rbheart:
