Phoenix is a very good boy. However he uses his claws way to much. He kneeds with his claws and digs pretty deep and when scared his claws come out immediately and he scratches me. I’m not provoking him he’ll be contently laying on my lap and my husband will walk in the room, or he hears a noise from outside and the claws are immediately out. I don’t think he means to scratch it’s just his instinct. I have trimmed his claws. But I would also like to teach him that claws hurt. Any tips? He’s six months old, so I think if I can teach him this behavior isn’t okay he’s young enough to learn.
