scratching

Has anyone every had their cat scratch the table after eating? Tisha scratches the table after eater as if she is burying it. Ninja has never done this, neither have any of my other cats except for one male.

Any ideas?

That is actually a fairly common behavior. Instinct is telling her to bury it so that the smell doesn't attract other predators. I think it's cute that they go through the motions even though there's no dirt.

aw, that;'s cute! I wish she would learn to bury her poop like that, lol.

We figure she was taken away too early (she was found as a stray) because she doesn't bury her poop. We hoped she would learn from our other cat, but so far no luck.
