Scented Wax Spill in Fur

So I accidentally spilled a scented candle that was on my table next to where my cat was laying. I ended up having to shave a patch of his fur off to remove the wax and then used dawn dish soap and a wet cloth to wipe the area down. I'm confident I got most of the wax out. I'm just worried that if he licks the spot any residual wax might be ingested. I read in a posting on google that it could cause neurological issues if ingested. Should I be concerned? The area seems fine and he doesn't seem irritated so hopefully he doesn't lick too much. I realize some digestive issues may arrise or an upset stomach, but my main concern is the topic of potential neurological issues?

As long as the wax is all off and the area has been thoroughly washed it should be ok. Can you smell any residue on the fur, if so I would wash the area again.
