Saying Goodbye Tomorrow - Need Comfort

I just wanted to thank you all so much for your words of comfort. It has been almost two weeks now since I lost Kitty. I feel better about my decision to help end her suffering, but I miss her so much. The house seems so different and empty without her, although I don't want my husband to feel that he is not enough. I am just used to having a little white shadow for the past 16 years. I was always aware of where Kitty was in the house and what her needs might be. In the last few months, especially, we were caring for her constantly. I now just feel a huge aching void. Anyway, I appreciate all of you sharing your experiences. Your thoughts and time spent writing them mean more than I can say. It is nice to have found a place where people understand.

I know how you feel. I lost two of my cats last year. My heart goes out to you. It does get better with time. My husband knows he can't compete with my cats!
