I met Queen Eva for the first time four weeks ago when she was about four weeks old and very very tiny. The place she was at had named her "Lucky" (because she is polydactyl) but that is not her name, though she can indeed be considered lucky, to have some luck I mean, since she is in her furever home with me, Tolly Mazy and Jennie.
She can't get any luckier than that!
When our eyes met that first time, we bonded instantly and she told me her name is Eva.
While she was not being abused, she was not being very well cared for and I longed to take her home. I saw her briefly two other times and she just wasn't thriving. It was clear they didn't understand her and called her stand-offish, unfriendly and "hates to be held or touched".
Well my dream came true and I picked her up early yesterday morning. It was a long drive, and she pooped in the carrier, and vomited, but we both survived it. We were hardly out of the driveway of that house before she informed me haughtily that she is QUEEN Eva, not just Eva.
Now Queen Eva has been here since 9:15 this morning, and she is sweet, affectionate, loving, friendly, talky, I am just hopelessly in love with her. Imagine, those people said she is unfriendly and mean! Well she was to them I guess because they weren't ME.
Here's my new little girl.
