Hello,
Just signed up for this site and I would appreciate some guidance. Recently on my way home from the gym I accidentally acquired a kitten. I saw her struggling down the side of the highway so I decided to stop and take it home. It's a pretty long and good story that I'll tell later. Anyway, I took it to the vet and she said she's about 4 weeks old and gave her it's first couple shots.
Since warming up to me she's become very playful, energetic, social, happy to have a home. The only problem is she's had pretty constant diarrhea. I've read a lot of things that said this is very dangerous for kittens as they can become dehydrated quickly. I've also read that it's completely normal for kittens.
She is on some antibiotics because of some road rash on her feet we're trying to get healed up. I've been feeding her canned wet food that, supposedly, is meant for kittens.
My question is, should I be worried about the diarrhea? She doesn't seem to be affected by it in the least bit. She's one of the craziest balls of energy I've ever seen haha. I love the thing to death and would love any input. Could the antibiotics be causing it? Would I notice through her behavior if it was affecting her negatively?
Here's a video of her playing if you're curious:
