She's only 2-3 months old and has a huge belly but not muscle mass she's literally a walking skeleton she also is only eating when needs to and is very slow now please help save my kitten
Try to slowly warm her up if she feels cold to the touch. Get her to eat as much as possible use tuna, chicken whatever you can to get her to eat more. But as long as she's eating she should be okay for a bit. Keep her warm and get her to a vet asap. It's good that she's still eating though. Is she drinking water and using the litter box? As long as she's doing those three she has a chance. Just get her to the vet quickly.
Poor baby kitty - & you must be soooo worried! Yes, she needs a vet, point blank. It could be worms or it could be FIP or something else - it looks like something serious might going on that needs professional attention, the sooner the better. Sending prayers and vibes that you get help for her soon
She drinks only when she needs to and only goes to the litter box when I pick her up and place her I front of it, we've given her deworming medicine and she will be token to the vet tomorrow I really need answers but I'm afraid she's already to far gone...
My (un)educated guess is worms. They tend to suck out nutrients the cat needs and cause bloating. Bloating makes the cat avoid food to prevent belly pain and a vicious circle starts.
First: Get to the vet ASAP, if the situation is serious s/he may need to insert a feeding tube
Second: If you can't get there ASAP call them and ask their opinion about force feeding. There are plenty of videos on youtube that explain the procedure. My Mith was greatly helped by force-feeding and got his appetite back.
I'm so sorry @helpnarley420 We always lock the thread when I cat dies as a sign of respect, so I'll lock this one now. When you feel ready please start a tribute thread for Narley in our Crossing The Bridge forum.
